How to make Ragi Paal Kozhukattai


Ingredients:

Ragi Flour - 1 cup

Raw Rice Flour - 1 cup

Coconut Milk - 1 cup

Jaggery - 250 grams

Cashew nuts - 10

Raisins - 10

Cardamom - 4

Ghee - 1 tablespoon


Preparation:

Take a bowl and mix ragi flour and rice flour by adding some coconut milk. Mix well to make it like a dough. Make seedai sized balls from the dough.

Turn on the stove and place the idly steamer. Place the balls in the steamer and allow it to cook for 5 mins. Time may vary according to the size of the balls.

After 5 minutes turn off the heat and check if the balls are cooked. Now boil some water and add jaggery to it. When this mixture boils add the balls to it and stir for some time.

Meanwhile, heat the pan and add some ghee to it. Roast the cashews, raisins and keep that aside. Add cardamom powder and coconut milk to the jaggery mixture and turn off the heat. At last, add the fried cashews & raisins and serve hot.
