How to make Kurma Gravy Recipe
Kurma is a very rich and very creamy curry that is generally served for breakfast as a side dish. Kuruma is prepared by a mixture of vegetables you can use whichever vegetables you want or you have in your home. Kuruma is very famous in South India. It goes well with chapati, parotta, idiyappam, etc.
Ingredients:
Potato - 1
Green peas - 50 grams
Broad beans - 50 grams
Beans - 50 grams
Cauliflower - 1 small flower
Carrot - 150 grams
Green Chillies - 4
Ginger - 2-inch piece
Coriander leaves - as required
Clove - 2
Cinnamon - 2
Shredded coconut - 1/2 cup
Poppy seeds - 1 tablespoon
Salt - as required
Oil - as required
Cashews - 4
Preparation:
First dice the beans, carrot, cauliflower and keep aside. Now grind Green Chillies, shredded coconut, cloves, cinnamon, and ginger to a fine paste.
Now grind poppy seeds and cashews separately into a paste and keep aside. Turn on the heat and place a pan. Add oil and now add mustard seeds. Once it cracks add curry leaves to it.
Now add the fine paste of green chilly, ginger, and coconut. Saute it till the raw smell goes. Add all vegetables and add water as required to cook the vegetables.
Add salt to the curry. Now add the poppy seed, cashews paste, and saute till the raw smell goes. Add water according to your consistency. But don't add too much water then it spoils the taste.
Once the raw smell goes turn off the flame serve it hot with some chapati or paratha.
