How to make Thinai Soya Pulao Recipe
It is good for your health if you take millets as a substitute for white rice. It also helps you to maintain your weight and diet. Millets like Thinai, Samai rice, Varagu Arisi, etc are good for your health and it is traditional foods in India, mainly in Tamil Nadu.
Ingredients:
Thinai - 100 grams
Samai Arisi - 100 grams
Brinjal - 100 grams
Tomato - 1
Onion - 1
Bell peppers (Capsicum) - 1
Green Chilies - 4
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
Bay leaf - 2
Ghee - 4 tablespoon
Soya chunks - 50 grams
Kashmiri Chili Powder- 1 tablespoon
Coriander leaves - as required
Pudina(mint leaves) - as required
Salt - as required
Water - 1/2 liter
Preparation:
First, wash the Thinai and Samai Arisi. Soak them for about half an hour. On meanwhile, soak soya chunks in water for 10 minutes. Turn on the flame, place water in a vessel, and allow it to boil.
Once the water is boiling add the Thinai and Samai Arisi. Close the vessel with the lid and allow it to boil it the rice is cooked. Once it is cooked strain the water and keep the rice aside.
Turn on the heat and place a heavy bottom pan. Pour ghee and add bay leaves, onion to it. Saute the onions till it becomes brown. At this time, add ginger garlic paste and fry till the raw smell goes. Now add tomato, green chilies, coriander leaves, mint leaves and saute till tomatoes are cooked.
Now add brinjal and Capsicum to the mixture. At last add soya chunks, chilly powder, salt for taste and mix well. Once the vegetables are cooked, add the steamed rice to it and mix well.
Now serve the pulao with raita and pickle.
