Semiya Rava Kichadi Breakfast Recipe PVFOOD

   




Rava Semiya Kichadi

Kichadi is one of the famous breakfast in Tamil Nadu. With Rava we make upma but for a change, we can use Rava and semiya to make kichadi. It is easy to make at the same time it's very tasty. If you serve this with coconut chutney everybody will love it.


Ingredients:

Rava - 500 grams

Semiya - 500 grams

Ghee - 3 tablespoon

Salt - as required

Lemon juice - 2 tablespoon

Green peas - 50 grams

Ginger - 2-inch piece

Green chilly - 3

Curry leaves - as required

Mustard seeds - 1 teaspoon

Urad Dal - 1/2 teaspoon

Cashews - 10

Turmeric powder - 1/2 tablespoon


Preparation:

First, roast the Rava and semiya separately and keep aside. Now heat a pan and add 2 tablespoon ghee. Add mustard seeds, urad Dal and cashews(optional) for tempering. Now add curry leaves, Ginger, and add green chilies.

 Once green chilies are roasted add green peas and fry for 2 minutes. Now add turmeric powder and salt as per the taste.

 Adjust if salt is needed. Fry till the raw smell of turmeric powder goes. Now add 1/2 litter water and close the pan.

 When the water boil adds the Rava and semiya stir it well. Turn off the gas once the water is drained and serve hot.
